Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the MacBook Air, the latest addition to Apple’s Mac family. What’s so special about the MacBook Air? This notebook claimed as the thinnest notebook in the world. The MacBook Air is priced starting at $1,799 and will be available within two weeks.
"We’ve built the world’s thinnest notebook — without sacrificing a full-size keyboard or a full-size 13-inch display," said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO while introducing MacBook Air in the Macworld Expo 2008 at San Fransisco. "When you first see MacBook Air, it’s hard to believe it’s a high-performance notebook with a full-size keyboard and display. But it is."

The notebook measures only 0.16 inches (4 millimeters) at its thinnest point (measures 0.76 inches at its back) and weighs 3.0 pounds (1.3 kilograms).

Apple CEO Steve Jobs came back on stage after his keynote address ended in the MacWorld Expo 2008 to display the new MacBook Air notebook computer to the assembled media.
The notebook comes with a full-sized keyboard framed in an aluminum enclosure that highly recyclable and mercury-free. It seems that the MacBook Air better for the environment (sky, water, trees) than other Macs.
